Weather was superb and the kids enjoyed a local fair where there was face painting and carnival rides. For some strange reason Eloise was a little afraid to go on any of the rides but she did like the face painting. It was the first time that Eloise has agreed to having her face painted.
While Eloise was getting her face painted, Abbey was napping in her pram and mummy managed to sneak in a few minutes of peace and quiet to catch up on the news ....bliss.
There is a fantastic playground on the main street behind the beach which was frequented often during our 3 day stay. Abbey is still getting used to what grass feels like and so far she is not enjoying the texture too much !
Eeeew ...prickly grass ! |
Lots of cafes and restaurants around and we did try a few of them, there was the hamburger place which did yummy gourmet burgers and fat chips and the fish and chip place kept the kids happy one night. Breakfast at Ba Ba Lu Bar was fantastic and the girls loved the croissant next door from the organic shop. Eloise showed off her independence and went into the shop on her own and bought them herself. The croissants were begrudgingly shared with her sister, Scarlett and Harvey.

With all that eating, we did try to burn it off with a walk to the waterfalls. Well the dads took the older girls for a walk down to the falls whilst the mums stayed behind to look after the younger two - well somebody had to look after the picnic food !
