Lunch & Paint
Eloise reminded us that it has been a while since they had seen their cousins, Lochie, Dylan and Zoey so we made plans to rectify the situation. Unfortunately, Lochie already had plans but we did catch up with Dylan and Zoey and baby Amber. Take away Yum Cha lunch at Andrew & Mayna's followed by the kids 'painting' the walls of Uncle Andrew's herb garden. The painting lasted a whole 2 minutes before there was more paint going on each other than the wall !

City Slickers
Apart from time on Grandma's farm, this is as close to farm life as these city slicker girls are going to get. Abbey was absolutely thrilled to get so up close and personal to some of her favourite animals. The poor little lamb got a lot of Abbey's attention !

Fairy Tales
Once upon a time in a far away(about an hours drive out of Melbourne towards Geelong) land (Anakie)there was a Fairy Park....where there were actually no fairies but lots of characters from your favorite fairy tales like Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, Pinocchio, Jack and the Beanstalk, Hansel and Gretel, Goldilocks and Rapunzel.
It was a fair drive out to really the middle of nowhere but it was worth it to see the kids' faces light up when they saw some of these fairy tales come alive. Abbey was almost beside herself when she saw a life sized Humpty sitting on the wall as we drove through the park gates.
The park has been around since the fifties and was built by a family who started out making gnomes. They turned a rocky outcrop in the middle of the country into a park that features replicas of scenes from lots of fairy tales complete with animation and a audio recording of the actual fairy tale. Eloise was very excited to see and listen to these tales as she loves her fairy tales.
There was also a great playground where the girls spent nearly two hours in. All the play equipment was homemade and had a medieval Camelot theme.

Happy Birthday Gung Gung
It was Gung Gung's birthday and Eloise made him an orange and poppy seed cake and off course lovingly decorated it in her very own style.
There was also a Laurent chocolate mousse cake courtesy of ANZ bank which went down a treat with Abbey. After demolishing a large slice her only words were "more, more" !

Ski bunnies
Eloise rightly pointed out that winter has arrived and decided that being the 2nd day of winter... which obviously meant that it was time to try out their snow gear !
