Bunnings

The girls like their trips to Bunnings .... for the little trolleys which they use to race through the aisles, for the playground and most importantly for the bbq sausages.

Here they are on one of their trips to Bunnings, entertaining themselves on the shelves.

Phillip Island

A holiday with 8 kids between 4 adults .... what were we thinking ?!?!?  The highlight of the June school holidays was a trip away with our friends from kinder and school.
The gang of 8
There were 4 mums and 8 kids in one very big and kid friendly holiday rental in Phillip Island. It was the perfect place with plenty of backyard for the kids, a built in jumping pillow, lots of bedrooms and large living area, a dam stocked with fish and to top it off a very large spa.  The mums did have to engage in lots of bribes though to get some kid free champagne time in the tub !

Everybody's favourite....the spa !

The girls kicked the boys out for some quality couch time on the couch with popcorn
Dinner time was always chaotic
We were tempted not to venture out of the house as the kids were so content to just hang out at the house, but we did visit the sights around Phillip Island.  First up was Churchill Island which was just absolutely stunning as an island off the island.

We also waited it out in the cold for the penguins ....

And tried to spot koalas at the koala sanctuary and feed the pelicans at San Remo.

But by far, the overwhelming favourite activity was the spa bath.

The mums did manage a half hour without the kids in the spa :-)

Disney on Ice

We took the girls to see Disney on Ice, and were glad we did.  It caught me a little by surprise that Eloise was still so into her Princesses and it was priceless to watch their little faces light up whenever a new Disney character came out on stage.

Abbey's favourite was Minnie Mouse and she was very chuffed that she was also dressed as Minnie !

From the age of 2, Eloise has been reading about Ariel, Cinderella, Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, Rapunzel and Aladdin and it was just magical watching how much in awe she was, watching these stories come to live.

Pancake Parlour

Eloise won an award at school last term and her prize was a Pancake Parlour voucher.  So these holidays, we finally got around to claiming her prize and off course Abbey got to enjoy the spoils as well!

The girls demolished their pancakes and Eloise declared that Pancake Parlour was one of her favourite restaurants.

Botanical Gardens with Amber

It was a sunny Autumn morning and the start of the Winter school holidays. Eloise and Abbey being "old hats" now at the Botanical Gardens showed Amber the ropes around the Ian Potter Children's Garden.

Whenever, all three girls are together, Eloise takes charge and relishes her role as the big sister with Amber.  This though leaves Abbey feeling a little unwanted and often leads to tears for Abbey!

After a hard morning's play in the Children's Garden, it was time for lunch in the main gardens followed by a roll around in the autumn leaves.
