Gooooood Morning Vietnam!

The intrepid travellers are this time heading to Vietnam for about 4 weeks.

First stop was Ho Chi Minh city where the first impressions on the girls were the number of motor bikes on the road.

Our first morning started with breakfast on the roof top of the Majestic Hotel.
Good Morning Vietnam !

Pho for breakfast ...yum

We headed to Ben Thanh market but the heat got the better of the girls and by the time we got to the market (20 mins walk from the hotel) they were more than ready for some pampering at the nail salon.

After a quick stint at the market it was back to the hotel and pool followed by dinner at a restaurant frequented by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.  Food was pretty amazing.

Whilst it might sound like all we did was eat, we did squeeze in some sight seeing.  On our last trip, Brett and I missed the War Remnants museum so it was a must do on this trip and the museum was a real eye opener.

The sights and sounds of Ho Chi Minh city have not changed that much since we were last there, ten years ago.

There was also no shortage of shoe shine guys ... they literally chase you down the streets hoping you will agree to let them polish your shoes!

Happy 4th Birthday Abbey !

Finally, Abbey is 4 and she seems to have gained some respect from her kinder friends who can no longer tease her for being only 3! After much changing of minds on Abbey's part, we finally decided and stayed with a Minnie Mouse themed cooking party in our backyard.

It was a glorious April Sunday afternoon with the sun shinning bright. The kids started by decorating cardboard cut out of Easter eggs to be used later in an Easter egg hunt.

Then it was on to pizza making with real pizza dough.

Whilst the pizzas were cooking the kids hunted for Easter Eggs in the backyard.

After working up an appetite from the hunt, it was time for some food.

After the party food, there was more cooking or cookie decorating to be done.   Some very colourful creations were uncovered!

And then it was time for cake ... a Minnie Mouse one off course!
