Monstlavat

On a very cold but sunny Sunday afternoon we had lunch at a new cafe we discovered in Eltham called the Eltham Glasshouse, which was surprisingly really good !  The location is not the greatest as it is above a car wash but the food and service was fantastic. It was also very kid friendly as there was a couch with toys, books and colouring in books and crayons.

After lunch was a visit to Monstlavat.   It is an artist colony in Eltham and is the home to a number of mud brick and blue stone buildings set in an established garden.

Eloise's fascination with all things princesses, castles and wicked withches was satisfied as she thought that many of the buildings were castles and that the wicked witch was peering down on us through one of the many windows.

One of the highlights for Eloise was chasing the peacocks that roam the gardens.
