Hoi An … as photogenic as ever. This time we stayed at the Vinh Hung Resort on the other side of the river and we loved it.
Even the people are photogenic
The group heading out for the day
It wasn't long before the heat got to us and we had to stop for a smoothies and ice-creams
Some days it was just too hot ....
The food is enough reason to visit Hoi An ... we had a walking group and its sole aim was to find the best hawker food for breakfast!
Some days it was just too hot to walk ....
Beach day in Hoi An ... An Bang Beach. The thing to do here is to pick one of the restaurant that are on the beachfront that you want to eat from and then plonk yourselves on their complimentary deck chairs. You will need the chairs and umbrellas because the sand is just way too hot to walk on (you need to sprint to the water!) let alone sit on.
When we got hungry from lounging around, it was up to the restaurant for lunch! Fresh seafood!!
The resort we stayed, Vinh Hung Riverside was in a great location with two pools and the kids loved the quiet days where all we did was lounge around by the pool and eat the snacks on offer during the daily complimentary 'taste of Vietnam' afternoon tea by the river.

China Beach in Danang is about a 20 minute drive from Hoi An
Dinner in Danang was an amazing restaurant that only the locals know about
A cooking class and market tour in Hoi An is highly recommended. We learnt some great dishes to make at home and the kids loved the very hands on experience.
