After all that sightseeing at the Colosseum, the kids were ravenous and devoured their pizza in record time!
Then it was back to more sightseeing at the Forum

When in Rome .. the Colosseum, Forum and Palatine Hill
Rome was certainly not built in a day and it never ceases to amaze that wherever you turn there is another Roman ruin. Centuries of history sits perfectly balanced with the new technology of today.
First up was the Colosseum ....
After all that sightseeing at the Colosseum, the kids were ravenous and devoured their pizza in record time!
Then it was back to more sightseeing at the Forum
The girls were magnificent in their staying power today as they literally did walk all day and walked about 18km all up! They well and truly deserved their gelato treat on the way home where we found Rome's oldest gelato factory. Eloise was in seventh heaven!
