Brasov, Romania

After Sighisoara, Brasov felt like a large city! Despite its relatively bigger size it still had a very quaint and charming feel to it, especially in the windy and narrow streets of its old town.

Brasov is also apparently home to the narrowest street in Europe.

Not far out of Brasov's town centre there was a large park you could explore where there were apparently bears and other exotic animals!

From Brasov we did a day trip to Bran Castle - Vlad the Impaler's Castle.  Getting there was an experience itself as we took a very rickety taxi with a rather eccentric (but nice) taxi driver.

On the way home from Bran Castle we also stoped off at the Rasnov fort .

Brasov was a real gem of a town with many old buildings left in tact.

Our hotel looked right into the town square
