Monet's Garden

From Honfleur we drove out to Giverny to see Monet's garden.  Despite the crowds it was still a very beautiful place to visit.  I can understand why he chose to live there!

The girls loved the garden and literally stopped to smell the flowers

As well as the gardens there was also Monet's house to visit

Due to Monet's presence, the town of Giverny became a quaint little artist colony. After visiting Monet's garden and house we explored a little around Giverny and visited the museum when there was a Degas exhibition.
The first hotel in Giverny that housed all the artists who came to paint
Rue Claude Monet ... what else could the street be called !
A bed of flowers
