We have heard a lot about the Tsukiji fish market but we were not that over zealous about seeing the actual fish auctions as that would require queuing up at 3am in the morning! We did however get there in time for lunch to see what the fuss was about and saw lines queued up the various sushi restaurants. We found the shortest line and hopped in for about an hour wait.
After lunch it was a stroll through the streets of Ginza which is famous as an upmarket shopping, dining and entertainment district with numerous art galleries. Within Ginza we stumbled upon Yakitori Alley which looked like old world Japan and where you can dine in tiny lantern lit laneways.
