Eiffel Tower

We've got a lunch date at the Eiffel Tower today !  We've heard about how horrendous the queues are to get up the Eiffel Tower, so we found a way to get in without having to wait in a line ... make a booking at one of the restaurants on the Eiffel Tower! The kids were very excited about going to the Eiffel Tower.

At every angle it is a pretty spectacular structure.

We bypassed the queues for the lifts and stairs and went straight to the lift for the restaurants.  There was a bit of a queue (we waited maybe 10 minutes) but nothing like the 3 hour queues the others were waiting in!  Lunch was at 58 Restaurant and was a three course meal.

After lunch we walked around the first stage of the Eiffel Tower where the restaurant was located.  Looking down through the glass floor, the people below looked just like little ants.

Along with the views to admire there were lots of other things to look at on the first stage of the tower including lots of information about the tower and its history, a giant globe to turn around and little kissing spots to smooch on!

To get to the second stage we had to walk the 300 odd steps up, which was a great way to work off the lunch we just had.
Walking up to the second stage of the Eiffel Tower

The 300 steps got a bit too much for Abbey's little legs! So she got a piggy back most of the way up !!!
Common Abbey, only 250 more steps to go!

Abbey exhausted (even though she got a piggy back) and Eloise needed her asthma pump!

The views over Paris were pretty spectacular.

On the way home we stopped an again admired the tower, but this time from a far!
